Every first Thursday of each month the virtualization community of London/UK meets up to discuss all things virtualization, and in fact anything else that comes up in conversation.
vBeers is open to everyone so whether you are a VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix XenServer user/fan or none of the above it really doesn’t matter as “it’s all about the virtualization”.
The London vBeers meet-up is held at the lovely ole English pub, ‘The Cittie of Yorke’.
This month’s was yesterday (Thursday 5th Aug) and among the attendees were Simon Long, Dan Eason, Steve Bryen, Martin Glassborow, David Owen, and organiser Simon Seagrave (fashionably late on this occasion!)
Most of the talk started off with VMworld which was no surprise as it is fast approaching, with just three weeks to go! This was however not the main conversation piece, it was smart phones on this occasion as Dan Eason had brought his new toy to show off, a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.
There were however hints of a vBeers happening in San Francisco at VMworld.
I’ll post more info closer to the time.
I did manage to get one picture on my “not quite so smart” phone! (Apologies to Steve for not getting his lighting perfect!)
If you would like more information on vBeers you should follow Simon Seagrave on Twitter, there is also a static info page on his blog!
