The new OS X 10.5.7 causes an error with VMWare Fusion in conjunction with ATI graphics cards.
The problems range from slow performance to graphics errors and crashing. If Windows programs do not need 3D, the driver works fine.
Apple and AMD are informed about the problem. Regarding a date for the publication of an update the Twitter account for VMware Fusion’s team said “We can not talk about Apple’s timetable, but we are working with them to find a solution”
So best not to use anything requiring 3D if you have an ATI Graphics card, and are running VMWare Fusion on OS X 10.5.7!!
